This service converts your BMW E36 OBD1 or OBD2 engine harness to plug n play directly into the Haltech Engine Management Systems - Elite 750, Elite 2500 or the Nexus R3 and all factory functions will work minus the factory traction control (ASC).

Elite 750 customers note if you select to many aftermarket sensors we are limited - the most available for sensors is Haltech CAN wideband, Fuel pressure, Flex-Fuel. If you want more than that we remove AC from the harness. 

If a user wants traction control our recommendation is adding a front wheel speed sensor at minimum and additionally converting the car to drive by wire for further control of traction. Traction control feature like boost by gear does work without any additional modifications. If the factory ABS system was previously removed those sensors can be used. If the factory ABS is still being used it is HIGHLY recommended that no modifications be done to it.

We have the ability to modify the factory harness to integrate just about any sensor you may want for your build. Some of the options the factory wiring is used or we add aditional wiring through the factory harness. We recommend at minimum a fuel pressure sensor and if the vehicle is going to be on ethanol a flex-fuel sensor. Our on the shelf harnesses will already have these added. 

We are accepting harness cores for this service - if your core is beyond repair it will be rejected. If you are not sure please send pictures of your harness prior to shippin to service@tunedbyshawn.com with heading of "harness inspection" - we will provide pictures of why cannot accept the core. If you wish to recieve your core back we will invoice you for the shipping cost. On the shelf harness's will not ship until a core is recieved in usable condition. If you have a mint harness we advise you ship us the harness to be modified as we cannot guarentee the harnesses we have on the shelf are the same quality as yours.
